Travel Support for Alaskan Indigenous Delegation to the 2nd Cross-Pacific Indigenous Exchange

NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries (ONMS) facilitated the second Cross-Pacific Indigenous Exchange, held in Monterey and Seaside, California, on April 8 -10, 2024. The Exchange hosted 36 Indigenous leaders and representatives from Alaska, Hawai’i, American Samoa, Saipan, California, and Maryland. The financial support provided by OAR covered the cost of travel of the Tribal President and the Director of the Office of Justice and Governance Administration for the Aleut Community of St. Paul.
